We are building the vertically integrated, distributed utility for hyperscalers. While legacy turbine manufacturers are sold out for the next half-decade, AI data centers are bleeding millions per day on idle compute. We wedge into this market with multi-megawatt generators that deploy behind the meter in a fraction of the traditional timeline. From there, we are building domestic gigafactories for proprietary systems, operating as a distributed utility that owns the customer relationship.

Role Description
\n
This is a full-time, on-site role based in the San Francisco Bay Area. You'll turn our first power unit from design into hardware. That means taking a proven aeroderivative gas turbine core and packaging it into a complete, factory-tested power block on an aggressive timeline.

You'll own the mechanical systems around the engine: structural supports, enclosure, air handling, and the auxiliary systems that keep the unit running. You'll also own the piping that connects them and the tooling and fixtures used to build them. You'll produce the CAD, lead design reviews for manufacturability, and release the drawings our fabrication partners build from. You'll own the documentation package that becomes the standard for every unit after the first.

You'll spend time on the shop floor, both with our partners and in our own facility, and fix what the first build teaches us. Over time you'll help decide which parts we make ourselves and which we buy. You'll report to our Head of Engineering and work closely with our turbomachinery, electrical and controls teams.

Qualifications

- \n
- A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a highly related field
- 5+ years designing complex mechanical assemblies for rotating equipment or heavy industrial systems, taken all the way to released production drawings
- Hands-on design or qualification of at least one of: inlet cooling or conditioning, fuel gas forwarding and filtration skids, or lube oil and hydraulic systems for turbomachinery
- Strong CAD, GD&T and tolerance analysis in any major package
- Your drawings have been built, shipped and run
