Join a state-of-the-art data centre supporting business-critical infrastructure in a high-performance, zero-tolerance environment.\n\nAs a Data Centre HVAP Technician, you will be a key guardian of electrical safety and operational continuity. Working closely with the Building Engineering Supervisor and Engineering Shift Leader, you will take ownership of high-voltage operations, planned maintenance, and incident response across critical systems.

This is a continental shift role, offering autonomy, variety, and exposure to cutting-edge, mission-critical engineering.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nCritical Engineering & Operations\n\nDeliver planned and reactive maintenance across electrical and building systems in line with SLAs\n\nAct as the site HV Authorised Person, carrying out safe switching, isolations, and control of high-risk activities\n\nPrepare, follow, and review switching schedules, SOPs, and EOPs in accordance with Safe Systems of Work\n\nRespond rapidly to BMS alarms and unplanned events, diagnosing faults and restoring services with minimal downtime\n\nSafety, Compliance & Control\n\nManage the Permit to Work system, ensuring all authorisations, documentation, and controls are in place\n\nPrepare, review, and implement Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)\n\nMaintain evaporative cooling and domestic water systems in compliance with L8 regulations\n\nSupervise subcontractors, ensuring all work is delivered safely, compliantly, and to specification\n\nOperational Support & Reporting\n\nSupport incident management during faults, outages, and emergencies\n\nEnsure availability of critical spares and materials\n\nComplete accurate maintenance records and reports using REALM\n\nBuild strong working relationships with colleagues and client representatives\n\nMaintain a safe, professional working environment and deliver excellent customer service\n\nDevelopment & Continuous Improvement\n\nActively develop technical capability through ongoing training and professional development\n\nDemonstrate ownership, accountability, and pride in maintaining high operational standards\n\nEssential Requirements\n\nCurrent HV Authorisation\n\nUp-to-date Wiring Regulations certification\n\nNVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline\n\nEmergency First Aid at Work certification\n\nProven experience managing faults or incidents in a mission-critical environment\n\nStrong working knowledge of health & safety legislation related to maintenance activities\n\nExcellent communication skills with a professional, confident approach\n\nHigh attention to detail, numeracy, and literacy\n\nSelf-motivated, reliable, and committed to safe systems of work\n\nAble to work independently or as part of a team under pressure\n\nPhysically capable of accessing plant areas, including vertical access equipment\n\nFlexible approach to continental shift patterns\n\nDesirable\n\nManual Handling certification\n\nPASMA and IPAF training\n\nKnowledge of integrated systems (Fire, PMS, BMS)\n\nStrong sense of accountability and operational ownership\n\nWhy Join Us?\n\nThis role goes beyond maintenance—you will help safeguard the infrastructure that keeps global businesses running.
