Sterling Engineering is looking for a Mechanical Designer to support industrial projects. This role offers flexibility to work remotely or in-office if located near a office location.
Job Duties:

• Develop 3D equipment models using SmartPlant 3D or similar design software
• Support early-stage project design and layout development
• Create and modify P&IDs, schematics, and mechanical drawings
• Perform 3D piping design and routing
• Collaborate across project teams on a variety of industrial projects

Qualifications:

• Minimum 4+ years of mechanical design experience (piping and systems)
• Experience creating 3D models and design documentation
• Knowledge of piping support design
• Experience with data center mechanical systems (chilled water, CRAH, CDU)
• Proficient in SmartPlant 3D (), AutoCAD, or MicroStation
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Education:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in CAD or related field with 4+ years of experience
• OR High School Diploma/GED with 8+ years of mechanical design experience
