The role offers flexibility with hybrid working and genuine long-term career development opportunities.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nPrepare accurate and detailed mechanical estimates for tender and design-build projects\n\nAnalyse drawings, specifications, and tender documentation to produce comprehensive cost plans\n\nLiaise with design, procurement, and construction teams to ensure estimates reflect technical and commercial requirements\n\nObtain and review supplier and subcontractor quotations to support pricing strategies\n\nIdentify value engineering options and contribute to cost-saving initiatives\n\nSupport bid presentations and client tender meetings where required\n\nMaintain an up-to-date understanding of market trends, costs, and mechanical installation methods\n\nRequirements\n\nProven experience as a Mechanical Estimator within the M&E contracting sector\n\nExperience working on commercial, aviation, or data centre projects\n\nStrong technical knowledge of HVAC, public health, and mechanical building services systems\n\nProficient in estimation and take-off software as well as Microsoft Office Suite\n\nExcellent analytical, communication, and teamwork skills\n\nAbility to manage multiple tenders and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment\n\nBased within a commutable distance to London with flexibility for hybrid working\n\nPackage & Benefits\n\nCompetitive salary (dependent on experience)\n\nHybrid working model - combination of office and remote work\n\nOpportunity to work on large-scale, technically challenging projects\n\nCareer progression with a leading Tier 1 M&E contractor\n\nIf you're an experienced Mechanical Estimator looking to progress your career within a reputable Tier 1 contractor, apply today or get in touch for a confidential discussion
