Mechanical Package Manager

£60,000 -£65,000 + Package
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Package Manager to join a leading contractor delivering complex building services packages within data centre and healthcare environments.
This is a key delivery role responsible for managing mechanical services from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
The Role
You will take full ownership of mechanical packages, working closely with design teams, subcontractors and client stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery on technically demanding projects.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage mechanical packages from design development through to completion and handover
*
Coordinate mechanical design with consultants and wider project teams
*
Oversee procurement of plant, materials and specialist equipment
*
Manage subcontractors and specialist vendors to achieve programme and quality targets
*
Monitor cost, programme and risk, reporting to senior project leadership
*
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and client standards, particularly within critical environments
*
Lead commissioning activities including witnessing, snag resolution and documentation
*
Coordinate with electrical, CSA and commissioning teams for integrated delivery
*
Enforce health & safety standards, including RAMS review and site inspections
*
Contribute to value engineering and buildability reviews
Systems Experience
Experience working with the following systems is highly desirable:
*
HVAC systems (chilled water, DX, CRAC/CRAH units)
*
Air handling and ventilation systems
*
LTHW, CHW and condenser water pipework systems
*
Medical gases (healthcare projects)
*
Redundancy, containment and resilience systems (data centres)
*
BMS coordination and integration
What We’re Looking For
*
Proven experience delivering mechanical packages on large or complex construction projects
*
Background in data centres, healthcare or other critical infrastructure environments
*
Strong technical understanding of mechanical services and commissioning processes
*
Commercially aware with experience managing budgets and change control
*
Excellent organisational and communication skills
*
Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, programme-driven environments
Qualifications
*
NVQ Level 3 or higher in Construction / Engineering
*
SSSTS or SMSTS
*
IOSH
*
CSCS
*
First Aid
*
Full UK Driving Licence
