Mechanical Project Lead (Associate Director Level) – Data Centre Project\n\n Tier One Main Contractor\n \n West London\n\n Up to £120,000 + Comprehensive Package\n\nA leading Tier One Main Contractor is seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Lead to join its high-performing team, delivering a flagship data centre project in West London. This is a senior, client-facing role at Associate Director level, offering the opportunity to lead complex, high-value works within one of the fastest-growing sectors in construction.\n\nThe successful candidate will take full ownership of the mechanical package from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover, ensuring delivery is achieved safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nLead the mechanical delivery strategy across a major data centre project\nManage and coordinate MEP subcontractors, consultants, and internal teams\nOversee design development, technical reviews, and value engineering processes\nEnsure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations\nDrive programme performance, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies\nAct as the primary mechanical lead in client and stakeholder meetings\nSupport commercial teams in cost control, procurement, and reporting\nProvide leadership and mentorship to project engineers and site teamsKey Requirements:\n\nProven track record in delivering large-scale data centre or mission-critical projects\nExtensive experience in a senior mechanical leadership role within a Tier One or major contractor environment\nStrong technical expertise across mechanical systems (HVAC, cooling, pipework, and associated infrastructure), commissioning, and integration\nExcellent stakeholder management and communication skills\nAbility to lead multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment\nRelevant engineering qualifications (HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent)What’s on Offer:\n\nCompetitive salary up to £120,000\nAttractive benefits package including bonus, car allowance, pension, and healthcare\nOpportunity to work on a landmark project with a globally recognised contractor\nClear pathway for further progression within a growing data centre divisionThis is an exceptional opportunity for a driven and experienced mechanical professional to take on a pivotal leadership role within a prestigious project and organisation
