Mechanical Project Manager

Job Description

MK-Search are currently working with a well respected £40m mechanical biased contractor with a strong presence delivering specialist pipework and full M&E packages across sectors in partnership with leading clients who are looking for a mechanical project manager to join their London business unit. Initially you will work across 2 data centre pipework packages in Acton and Slough valued at £2m and £500 respectively. You will have a supervisor on each and be tasked with managing the client and overviewing engineering and technical duties while managing and motivating the supervisors to deliver through to PC\n\nDuties:\n\n * Lead team meetings to engage, motivate, and improve performance.\n\n * Report aspects of the project to clients, Directors, and any other relevant stakeholder.\n\n * Liaise with Design & Coordination to ensure the delivery of design/working drawings capture any additional cost, programme delay, or external influence that may affect production.

Delegate activities within the project team, while building strong working relationships.\n\n * Management of the procurement process.\n\n * Be an advocate for best-practice health and safety.\n\nSign off to pay an attractive day rate or salary with an very busy order book of projects across the business. The plan is to use these 2 initially smaller projects to get up to speed with the company processes, before moving on to lead a sizeable mechanical scheme they have upcoming in Central London (circa £15m) in the coming months
