Known for consistent delivery, safe working practices, and long-term client relationships.\n\nThe Opportunity\n\nWe’re seeking a Mechanical Project Manager to lead end‑to‑end delivery of mechanical packages on fast‑paced fit‑out projects (£3m–£15m MEP). You’ll take ownership from pre‑construction through handover, driving programme, quality, and cost performance while maintaining exemplary Health & Safety standards.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nProject Delivery: Plan, coordinate, and manage mechanical services (HVAC, CHW/LTHW, public health, sprinklers) from design development to completion.\nProgramme & Cost Control: Build and maintain project programmes; track progress, variations, and change control; protect margin with robust cost management.\nDesign Management: Chair design workshops, review drawings/specs, lead technical queries (RFI), and ensure buildability and compliance with current regs.\nSupply Chain Management: Procure and manage specialist subcontractors; run progress meetings; ensure QA/inspection/test plans are completed and signed off.\nH&S Leadership: Produce and manage RAMS; drive site safety culture in line with CDM; ensure statutory compliance and client-side protocols.\nQuality & Commissioning: Own QA, witnessing, and commissioning strategy; coordinate seasonal commissioning and manage close‑out documentation (O&M, as‑builts).\nStakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary contact for client, consultant, and main contractor teams; provide clear reporting (weekly/monthly).\nRisk & Change: Identify risks early; implement mitigation; manage change events and claims with commercial team.\nDigital Delivery: Maintain accurate records using MS Project/Primavera, BIM/COBie inputs, field‑based QA apps, and company SOPs.\n\nEssential Qualifications & Experience\n\nMechanical Building Services degree/HND (or equivalent) with 5+ years leading mechanical delivery on fit‑out/complex refurbishment projects.\nProven experience managing mechanical packages £2m+ within a wider MEP scope.\nStrong technical knowledge of HVAC, public health, life safety systems, and commissioning.\nCSCS (Manager) and SMSTS (or equivalent).\nProficient in MS Project (or Primavera), Excel, and familiarity with BIM/NAVISWORKS coordination.\nClear track record in RAMS, QA/QC, change control, and commercial awareness.\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills—able to lead meetings and produce concise reports.\n\nDesirable\n\nExperience in Cat A/Cat B office fit‑out, hotels, retail, data centres, or heritage refurbishments.\nKnowledge of CIBSE guidelines, BS EN standards, and London plan compliance.\nExposure to LEED/BREEAM, soft landings, and digital handover (COBie).\nIOSH Managing Safely and commissioning management experience.\n\nWhat’s on Offer\n\nSalary up to £95,000 (DOE)\nCar allowance, annual bonus, and private healthcare\nEnhanced pension, 25 days’ holiday + bank holidays\nClear progression to Senior PM/Project Lead and support for professional development (CPD, chartership pathways)\nHigh-profile London portfolio with stable pipeline and modern working practices (digital QA, collaborative planning)
