Job Description - Mechanical Project Manager (Data Centres)\n Location: Slough\n Sector: Data Centres\n Contract Type: Permanent\n Salary: Up to £85,000 + £5,000 allowance + package\n Bonus: 2.5% project bonus\n Positions: 2 roles available\n  \n Overview\n A leading mechanical contractor within the data centre sector is seeking two experienced Mechanical Project Managers to join their team due to internal changes. These roles will be based on live, high-profile data centre projects in Slough, with secured work running through to 2028 and onward opportunities beyond project completion.\n This is a delivery-focused role requiring strong commercial capability, technical understanding and the confidence to manage complex mechanical packages in mission-critical environments.\n  \n Current & Future Projects\n \nLarge-scale live data centre projects in Slough \nProjects secured through to 2028 \nOpportunity to transition onto additional data centre projects upon completion Reporting Structure\n \nReporting directly to the Senior Project Manager \nEscalation line into the Mechanical Director \nWorking closely with commercial, site and design teams Key Responsibilities\n \nFull responsibility for the mechanical project delivery on assigned data centre schemes \nManaging subcontractors, suppliers and site teams \nProducing and managing RAMS, programmes and project documentation \nPreparing, reviewing and agreeing quotes, variations and commercial changes \nEnsuring works are delivered safely, on time and to specification \nUsing project management software for reporting, documentation and cost control \nLiaising with clients, consultants and internal stakeholders \nSupporting commissioning and handover processes Key Skills & Experience\n \nProven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager within data centres or other critical environments (e.g. pharma, life sciences, major infrastructure) \nStrong commercial awareness and ability to manage variations and cost control \nConfident producing RAMS and managing site documentation \nExperience using project management software (Procore , but not essential) \nAbility to work in a fast-paced, technically demanding environment \nStrong communication and stakeholder management skills What's on Offer\n \nSalary up to £85,000 \n£5,000 travel allowance \n2.5% project bonus \nLong-term pipeline of secured work \nOpportunity to work on some of the UK's most high-profile data centre projects \nClear reporting structure and strong senior leadership support
