Mechanical Project Manager – Data Centre / Critical Environment Mechanical Upgrade Projects – Hemel Hempstead

£75,000 – £85,000 + £5,000 Travel Allowance + Bonus + Healthcare

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join a respected M&E Building Services contractor delivering mechanical upgrade and replacement projects within a major data centre environment in Hemel Hempstead.

The employer is a long-established contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality mechanical projects across commercial, critical environments and occupied buildings. Their newly developed Data Centre division is experiencing rapid growth, offering long-term opportunities for progression and development.

The Role

You will oversee the delivery of mechanical upgrade, refurbishment and replacement works within a live data centre environment, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

* Managing mechanical projects ranging from £100k – £3m

* Overseeing mechanical upgrades, replacements and system improvements

* Working within a live, critical environment with strict compliance procedures

* Managing labour, materials, subcontractors and project documentation

* Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget

* Providing ongoing communication with clients and internal teams

* Overseeing works within occupied commercial environments where required

About You

* Mechanical Project Manager or Mechanical Contracts Manager background

* Experience within data centres is beneficial but commercial / occupied building experience is equally considered

* Strong technical understanding of mechanical systems

* Able to manage multiple workstreams and deliver projects effectively

* Strong communication, organisation and client-facing skills

Remuneration Package – Mechanical Project Manager

* £75,000 – £85,000 base salary

* £5,000 travel allowance

* 2.5% project performance bonus
