Job Title: Mechanical Site Manager (Building Services)\nLocation: UK (Site-Based – Data Centre Project)\nSalary: Competitive + Package\nOverview:\nWe are seeking an experienced Mechanical Site Manager to support the delivery of a major data centre project, with a programme duration of approximately 2 years. This is a key site-based role, responsible for managing the installation of mechanical building services within a fast-paced, technically complex environment.\nRole Overview:\nYou will take ownership of the on-site mechanical installation, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to the highest quality standards. Working closely with the Project Manager and wider delivery team, you will play a critical role in coordinating subcontractors and driving progress on this flagship project.\nKey Responsibilities:\n * Manage the day-to-day delivery of mechanical building services installation on site\n * Oversee subcontractors and site teams to ensure works are completed in line with programme and specifications\n * Coordinate mechanical services with other disciplines to avoid clashes and delays\n * Ensure full compliance with health & safety requirements and site procedures\n * Monitor progress, identify risks, and report regularly to the Project Manager\n * Review and interpret technical drawings and specifications\n * Manage materials, plant, and labour to ensure efficient delivery\n * Carry out quality inspections and ensure high standards of installation\n * Support commissioning, snagging, and handover phases\n * Maintain accurate site records and reporting documentation\nProject Details:\nThis role will be based on a single, large-scale data centre project, offering continuity of work over a 2-year programme with more projects following on from this.

The project requires a high level of coordination, attention to detail, and experience within critical environments.\nRequirements:\n * Proven experience as a Mechanical Site Manager within building services / M&E\n * Strong background in mechanical installation (HVAC, pipework, plant rooms, etc.)\n * Experience on data centre or other critical infrastructure projects (highly desirable)\n * Good understanding of construction health & safety regulations\n * Ability to read and interpret technical drawings\n * Strong leadership and organisational skills\n * SMSTS or SSSTS qualification\n * Relevant mechanical or building services qualifications (NVQ / HNC / equivalent)\nKey Skills:\n * Strong site management and coordination\n * Effective communication and team leadership\n * Problem-solving and ability to manage programme pressures\n * High attention to detail and quality assurance\nBenefits:\n * Competitive salary and package\n * Long-term project stability (2-year programme)\n * Opportunity to work on a high-profile data centre development
