We are seeking a passionate and talented Permanent Mechanical Superintendent-Data Centers to join our dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a leading organization in the construction industry, where you will be responsible for overseeing all mechanical aspects of our data center construction projects from the ground up. This role is essential to ensuring the success of our mission-critical facilities, and we are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all stages of project life cycle, managing data center construction projects from the ground up.
2. Coordinate and supervise the mechanical and plumbing (MEP) systems, ensuring all installations are compliant with design specifications and safety standards.
3. Manage the daily activities of subcontractors and staff, promoting a culture of safety and quality workmanship.
4. Develop and implement project schedules, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
5. Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure adherence to project plans and specifications.
6. Coordinate with other superintendents and project managers to ensure that all aspects of the project are aligned.
7. Resolve any on-site issues or disputes, ensuring minimal impact on project timeline and quality.
8. Provide regular progress reports to stakeholders, including clients and senior management.
9. Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in data center construction and mechanical systems.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Mechanical Superintendent, Data Center Superintendent, or a similar role in a mission-critical environment.
3. Extensive knowledge of data center construction, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems.
4. Proven experience managing ground-up construction projects, preferably in the data center industry.
5. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
6. Strong problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to resolve complex on-site issues.
7. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to a variety of stakeholders.
8. Proficient in the use of project management software and tools.
9. Strong understanding of construction safety regulations and best practices.
10. Ability to travel to project sites as needed.
