Mechanical Supervisor

MK Search are working with a very well respected mechanically biased M&E contractor who require a mechanical supervisor from a pipefitting background to work on a notable data centre they are delivering in Slough. Reporting to a mechanical project manager you will take control of the plumbing and pipefitting packages, tasked with managing a large team of in-house operatives alongside specialist subcontractors.\n\n * Supervise and coordinate the activities of various subcontractors, foreman and chargehands\n\n * Establish and adjust work timelines to meet the construction schedule for the project\n\n * Taking responsibility for health and safetyon site and leading by example\n\n * Organising workers, plant, machinery and materials\n\n * Supervising construction activities\n\n * Coordinates with all other crafts working on a job site to ensure smooth transitions\n\n * Identifying materials and equipment that may be required\n\n * Ensuring construction is carried out accurately, following plans and specifications\n\n * Conducts quality control inspections on project sites\n\n * Ensuring that contractor activities are properly co-ordinated\n\n * Ensuring that tasks are completed on time and to the required quality standards\n\n * Analyses and quickly resolves any work problems and may arise and ensures that all deficiencies on any given project are corrected in a timely manner\n\n * Training employees and apprentices are provided with relevant work experience\n\n * Maintaining detailed and accurate site reports\n\nSign off to pay an attractive day rate or salary with a chance to join a very notable project and be a part of a talented team from the very beginning
