About the Role

We are hiring a Project Manager to lead commercial plumbing and mechanical construction projects from kickoff through closeout. This role is responsible for project profitability, job-cost analysis, billing, change orders, manpower coordination, subcontractor and purchasing activities, and communication across field and office teams. This position plays a key role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with operational, financial, and customer expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Drive overall profitability of assigned projects
  • Manage schedules, budgets, and project requirements
  • Oversee billing, change orders, collections, and documentation
  • Monitor job cost, manpower, and project status with regular reporting
  • Communicate updates and resolve issues with internal teams and field leadership
  • Coordinate manpower, equipment, and subcontractors
  • Lead buyout process, contract review, and project closeout
  • Conduct job site visits and participate in project meetings
  • Track submittals and generate purchase orders
  • Negotiate subcontracts and vendor agreements

Qualifications

  • Years of commercial construction, plumbing, HVAC, and/or mechanical project management experience
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing and piping installation
  • Solid math skills
  • Proficient with basic computer systems
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • General accounting knowledge
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field
  • Journeyman Plumber, HVAC, Pipefitter, or similar license or equivalent experience
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • OSHA 10 certification required

Pay range and compensation package

  • Full-time direct hire permanent position
  • Competitive base salary (negotiable based on experience)
