MEP Cost Manager

Job Description

V7 Recruitment are looking for an experienced MEP Cost Manager to support the delivery of major data centre projects across the Nordics, with a focus on Norway and Finland. This role will involve working on large-scale, complex developments, supporting clients from early-stage design through to project completion. Using your expertise in MEP cost management, you will be responsible for developing cost plans, carrying out feasibility studies, supporting procurement and tender evaluations, and managing commercial aspects throughout the project lifecycle. You will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. This is an opportunity to work within a fast-growing sector, contributing to high-value, technically complex data centre projects while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and key stakeholders.

You will be working alternating weeks, one on-site in the Nordics and the other working from home! \n\nIn return they are offering: \n\nA competitive salary\nCar Allowance\nHealthcare\nLife Assurance\nIncome Protection\n27 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays\nFlights/accommodation/expenses\nRole Accountabilities\nProvide MEP quantity surveying and commercial cost management services on data centre projects\nPrepare detailed cost estimates, feasibility studies, and benchmarking; develop and manage cost plans\nSupport procurement processes, including tender analysis, evaluation, and contractor selection\nReview and agree contractor proposals, manage variations, and oversee commercial reporting\nDeliver cost control throughout construction and handover phases\nAdvise on value engineering, risk management, and whole-life costing\nCollaborate closely with design, engineering, and project delivery teams\nSupport and mentor junior team members where required\nQualifications & Experience\nDegree or qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (M&E) or equivalent (essential)\nProven experience in MEP cost management / quantity surveying on large-scale construction projects\nData centre project experience is essential\nStrong understanding of MEP systems, packages, and associated cost drivers\nExperience in cost estimating, benchmarking, and commercial management\nAbility to manage projects from inception through to completion\nStrong stakeholder management and client-facing skills\nFamiliarity with cost management tools such as CostX and/or 5D BIM\nAdditional Requirements\nExperience working on projects within the Nordics (Norway and/or Finland )\nWillingness to travel as required across project locations\nStrong communication and coordination skills within multidisciplinary teamsThis is a great opportunity to work with a leading construction consultancy and gain experience working in the European Data Centre market!\n\nV7 Recruitment is an equal opportunities employer and does not discriminate on the grounds of , , , reassignment, marriage or civil partnership, or maternity, race, religion or belief, , or .
