We are seeking an experienced MEP Project Manager to lead projects from conception through completion, serving as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, architects, and other stakeholders. This role requires a blend of leadership, technical expertise, and communication skills to ensure high-quality project delivery, while maintaining budget, schedule, and client satisfaction. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with talented engineers, visionary architects, and forward-thinking owners across multiple markets.

Core Market Sectors: Aviation, Central/District Utilities, Data Centers, Government, Higher Education, High-Tech Manufacturing, Life Sciences, Large-Scale Commercial, and Telecommunications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain strong client relationships.

  • Lead design team planning to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

  • Monitor budgets, identify scope creep, and prepare additional service requests.

  • Track project progress and facilitate resolution of potential roadblocks.

  • Prioritize design activities in alignment with project phases.

  • Schedule and conduct site surveys.

  • Communicate regularly with leadership on project documentation and budget status.

  • Coordinate communication between clients, consultants, and internal teams.

  • Organize and lead key project meetings, including handoff, kickoff, progress updates, and lessons learned.

  • Document and distribute meeting minutes for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Approve invoices and oversee project setup in collaboration with the production department.

  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards for each project.

  • Review and coordinate design documents across all disciplines before major milestones.

  • Schedule quality control reviews and ensure timely document issuance.

  • Provide performance feedback to department directors.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum 7+ years in the industry, including:

    • 4+ years in the MEP field

    • 3+ years in a project management role within MEP

  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, or Architectural Engineering (or higher)

  • Licensing: Professional Engineering License (in Texas or ability to obtain via NCEES Credentials)

  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Proficiency in Revit.
