Mobile Role
Salary: £42,000 per year + Company Van
About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a Mobile Electrical Engineer to join a well-established facilities management team. This is a varied and hands-on role, working across multiple sites, with a strong focus on maintaining critical systems and ensuring minimal downtime.
You will be responsible for both reactive and planned maintenance, fault finding, and supporting upgrades across electrical and mechanical systems, particularly within critical environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to breakdowns and reactive maintenance within agreed SLAs
- Carry out fault finding, repairs, and maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems
- Work on critical systems including power distribution, UPS, cooling, and data centre infrastructure
- Diagnose power quality issues using onsite analysers
- Complete maintenance documentation and ensure records are up to date
- Provide emergency call-out and standby support when required
- Escalate critical issues to management promptly
- Undertake site surveys and produce risk assessments and method statements
- Support installation, upgrade, and project works
- Monitor system performance and environmental conditions
- Deliver excellent customer service at all times
Requirements
Essential:
- 18th Edition Electrical Wiring Regulations
- Proven experience in a similar multi-skilled or electrical role
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
Desirable:
- Experience in critical environments (data centres, call centres, etc.)
- Knowledge of UPS systems, HVAC, BMS, and cooling systems
- Electrical testing and inspection experience
- Health & Safety knowledge (IOSH/NEBOSH)
- Understanding of risk assessments, COSHH, and safe systems of work
- Experience with water hygiene (L8) or Authorised Person status
