Mobile Electrical Engineer

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Mobile Electrical M&E Engineer to join a leading facilities management provider, supporting a flagship telecommunications account across the Greater London region.

This hybrid mobile role offers a fantastic opportunity for an engineer seeking improved work-life balance while maintaining exposure to critical and technically engaging environments.

The Role

Covering sites across North East London/Essex borders, South London and Kent borders, you will take responsibility for delivering high-quality M&E services across fixed-line telecommunications sites. You will manage your own diary, providing flexibility and autonomy in your day-to-day work.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out routine PPM, planned maintenance and reactive tasks in line with scheduled requirements.

Undertake electrical installation works as required.

Support the delivery of operational strategies to ensure compliance across critical services.

Maintain and service systems including:

UPS systems

Battery systems

Generators

Data centre infrastructure

Switchgear systems

Complete general building maintenance and soft service support where required.

Ensure all work is delivered to the highest Health & Safety and statutory compliance standards.

Accurately complete documentation and reports in a timely manner.

Participate in the on-call rota.

Work collaboratively with other mobile engineers and provide basic site supervision where necessary.

✅ Essential Requirements

City & Guilds Level 3 Electrical Qualification (or equivalent).

Full UK Driving Licence.

Experience working within a commercial or critical environment.

Strong understanding of planned and reactive maintenance processes.

⭐ Desirable

City & Guilds 2391 - Electrical Inspection & Testing.

Experience or exposure to data centre environments.
