Job Title: Modular Construction Project Manager
Location: Plano, TX (90% in-office, ~10% travel)
Salary: $100k-$120k
Company Overview
We are a growing, family-owned commercial construction company specializing in modular construction for mission-critical environments, including military installations and data centers. With an expanding project portfolio, we are adding a Project Manager to support our continued growth. This role offers a defined path to Senior Project Manager, with future oversight of 2–3 Project Managers.
Position Summary
We are seeking a driven Project Manager with experience in complex, technical construction projects—ideally within modular and government environments. This individual will manage multiple projects while developing the leadership and strategic capabilities needed to advance into a Senior PM role.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage 4–5 concurrent modular construction projects, typically ranging from $3M–$5M (overall project range: $1.5M–$10M)
- Lead modular projects across military sites and data center environments, ensuring compliance with strict standards and specifications
- Oversee the full project lifecycle, including planning, procurement, execution, and closeout
- Interpret and manage highly technical contracts, drawings, and specifications
- Evaluate and negotiate change orders, clearly defining scope inclusions/exclusions
- Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, clients, and government stakeholders
- Monitor schedules, budgets, and project performance to ensure successful delivery
- Maintain strong, professional communication—both written and verbal—with all stakeholders
Qualifications
- Project management experience in commercial construction; modular construction experience is a strong plus
- Experience with mission-critical projects (e.g., data centers) and/or government/military projects highly
- Strong contract knowledge, including navigating complex scopes and change orders
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Comfortable working with highly technical designs and documentation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive
- Desire for long-term growth and advancement into a leadership role
