NCCCO Crane Operator — Sky Point Crane | Western PA

We're hiring an NCCCO-certified operator to run iron across Western PA, Northern WV, NW Maryland, and Eastern Ohio. Sky Point Crane is on a serious growth trajectory — major utility, telecom, and federal contracts in the pipeline — and we need an operator who wants to be part of the build, not just punch a clock.

WHAT YOU'LL ACTUALLY MAKE

• New and experienced NCCCO-certified operators at Sky Point typically earn $33-$42 per hour effective cash rate once daily overtime is factored in. Plus 100% employer-paid health insurance, Simple IRA match, paid holidays, PTO, prevailing-wage opportunities, and tools/training reimbursement.
• Very competitive comp package with overtime after 8 hours/day (not 40/week), prevailing wage rates on qualifying jobs, and other premium-pay structures that boost your overall package
• 100% employer-paid UPMC medical, dental, and vision (employee coverage) — that's $5,196/year that doesn't come out of your check. (Unheard of with most employers in this industry.)
• Simple IRA with 3% company match, vested immediately
• **NCCCO Certification & Recertification — 100% Paid**
• Not yet certified? We'll sponsor your NCCCO testing fees and paid training time -- get certified on our dime, not yours
• Already certified? We cover your recertification costs so you're never out of pocket to stay current
• PA State Crane Operator license? We walk you through the paper application -- it's easy once NCCCO is in hand
• Real take-home rate works out to roughly $4–$7/hr MORE than the posted base when you count the OT structure and paid benefits

THE WORK

• Operate boom trucks, truck cranes, all-terrains, carry decks, and rough terrains from 30-ton to 225-ton
• Pre-operational inspections, lift planning, site visits, rigging and routine equipment maintenance
• Operate support tractors and trailers and equipment flatbeds when needed (CDL-A )
• High-profile and steady work — telecom, power , utilities, HVAC/mechanical, steel erection, oil & gas, coal/mining, and government projects
• Most days you're home at night — regional, day-trip work is the norm
• Yard-based out of Indiana, PA with company laydown yard and indoor climate-controlled warehouse

WHO YOU ARE

• NCCCO certified (required) — Mobile Crane Swing Cab (TLL) and/or Fixed Cab (TSS) Telescopic Boom certifications
• CDL-A or CDL-B (required, depending on vehicle assignment)
• Clean MVR
• Pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screen
• 2+ years of operating experience — newer operators with strong references will be considered
• PA State Crane Operator license required for PA jobsites — easy paper application once NCCCO is in hand; we'll walk you through it
