Network Architect

Role: Network Architect

Location: London - predominantly remote but must be willing to travel to London site as and when requested

Duration: 12 Months

Day rate: £715 Inside IR35

Active SC clearance required due to project restrictions

Role Description:

Network Architect responsible for key aspects of design, implementation and evolution of network architecture for the programme.
Role requires deep network technical expertise and strategic planning and leadership skills to ensure delivery of a mission critical, robust, highly resilient, scalable, secure and high-performing network solution
Candidates need to work closely with the Design Authority team, Data Centre Infrastructure Supplier and Security Teams to align the overall network approach and delivery

Required Skills:

Proven track record in network architecture / engineering and network delivery on-prem and integration with Cloud solutions in a complex large-scale programme
Expertise in routing, switching, load balancing, VPN, Data Centre LAN, Data Centre WAN, DNS and network segmentation
Familiarity with Network Automation and monitoring tooling
In-depth understanding of network security principles
Experience in supplier management and contract negotiations
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, team leadership and communications skills
