About the Role
We are seeking a highly capable and field-driven Network Cabling Project Manager with proven experience in structured cabling and fiber infrastructure within commercial building environments. This role requires a strong understanding of low-voltage systems and the ability to manage installation teams, ensuring projects are executed with precision, compliance, and efficiency.
This is not a general IT or telecom project management role — the focus is specifically on structured cabling and on-site project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage structured cabling and low-voltage projects from initiation through completion
- Oversee installation of Cat5e, Cat6, and Cat6A cabling systems within commercial facilities
- Direct and coordinate field technicians, subcontractors, and installation teams on-site
- Manage and supervise fiber optic installation, including splicing, termination, and testing
- Ensure all installations meet NEC standards and low-voltage compliance requirements
- Review and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and network schematics to ensure accurate execution
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, and quality standards, ensuring timely and successful delivery
- Act as the primary point of contact for on-site coordination and issue resolution
Key Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience managing structured cabling projects (Cat5e / Cat6 / Cat6A) in commercial building environments
- Strong working knowledge of fiber optic systems, including splicing, termination, and testing
- Proven experience in low-voltage systems and NEC compliance
- Hands-on experience managing field operations, installation crews, and subcontractors
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical schematics
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
Critical Requirements
- Candidates must have direct experience in inside-building structured cabling projects
- Candidates must demonstrate hands-on or closely managed fiber work (splicing, termination, testing)
- Experience limited to telecom towers, wireless deployments, or IT/data center operations will not be considered
