Network Deployment Engineer\n\nCisco Catalyst | Cisco Nexus | VMware NSX, | Firewall | Routing & Switching | Data Centre | \n\nOnsite | London | EC2A 2NE\n\n@mecscomms is hiring for an experienced contract IP Network Specialist to join a major enterprise networking programme supporting the deployment, implementation and support of complex infrastructure. \n\nThis is a highly hands-on role focused on network deployment, implementation and operational support. The successful candidate will be responsible for translating high-level (HLD) and low-level (LLD) technical designs into successful real-world deployments across enterprise, data centre and virtualised networking environments.\n\nYou will possess strong expertise across Routing & Switching technologies, Cisco Catalyst and Cisco Nexus platforms, together with experience deploying VMware NSX Distributed Firewall solutions within enterprise environments.\n\nThis opportunity is ideally suited to a Network Deployment Engineer, Network Implementation Engineer or Cisco Network Specialist (CCNA or CCNP) who enjoys practical delivery, troubleshooting and supporting large-scale enterprise networking programmes.\n\nRole: \n\nNetwork Deployment Engineer, Network Implementation Engineer, Cisco Network Engineer\n\nRole Purpose: \n\nDeploy, implement, migrate and support enterprise IP network infrastructure, ensuring successful delivery of networking solutions across routing, switching, data centre and virtualised environments whilst maintaining operational stability and service quality.\n\nLocation: On site, South East England, Greater London, City, EC2A 4NE\n\nRole Type: Temporary, Contract, Full-Time\n\nStart date: ASAP\n\nDuration: 24 months+ temporary contract\n\nGross Rate: £30.00 per hour, gross umbrella pay rate, inside IR35\n\nTechnology Stack:\n\n* Cisco Catalyst Switching Platforms\n* Cisco Nexus Data Centre Switching\n* Enterprise Routing & Switching\n* VMware NSX\n* VMware NSX Distributed Firewall (DFW)\n* LAN & Data Centre Networking\n* Network Migrations & Cutovers\n* Enterprise IP Networking\n* DNS\n* SD-WAN\n\nCore Activity:\n\n* Deploy and support enterprise IP networking solutions\n* Configure Cisco Catalyst, Nexus and VMware NSX environments\n* Deliver network migrations, cutovers and firewall deployments\n* Troubleshoot LAN, data centre and virtualised networks\n* Implement solutions from technical designs\n* Support network optimisation and operational improvements\n* Maintain accurate technical documentation and records\n\nResponsibilities:\n\n* Deploy, implement and support enterprise IP network infrastructure\n* Configure and troubleshoot Cisco Catalyst and Cisco Nexus switching platforms\n* Deliver VMware NSX implementation and Distributed Firewall configuration activities\n* Interpret high-level and low-level technical designs and execute deployments accordingly\n* Support onsite implementation projects, migrations and network cutovers\n* Troubleshoot complex routing, switching, LAN and data centre networking issues\n* Support virtualised networking environments and security segmentation initiatives\n* Participate in technical discussions relating to DNS and SD-WAN technologies\n* Produce accurate implementation documentation and technical records\n* Ensure network deployments meet operational, technical and quality standards\n* Collaborate with project, engineering and operational teams to ensure successful delivery\n\nDeliverables:\n\n* Successful deployment of enterprise network infrastructure\n* Cisco Catalyst and Nexus implementation activities\n* VMware NSX and Distributed Firewall deployments\n* Network migration and cutover execution\n* Technical implementation documentation\n* Operationally stable and secure network environments\n* High-quality troubleshooting and incident resolution\n\nWorking Environment:\n\n* Enterprise Networking Environment\n* Onsite Customer Locations\n* Large-Scale Infrastructure Programmes\n* Data Centre & Campus Network Deployments\n* Fast-Paced Technical Delivery Environment\n* Collaborative Engineering & Infrastructure Teams\n\nCandidate Profile:\n\nCandidates should possess strong hands-on deployment experience across enterprise networking environments.

You will be technically strong, delivery-focused and capable of implementing and supporting complex network infrastructures within customer-facing environments.
