Manager: Christian Winecoff

Location: Columbus - 25% Travel - Travel as needed for on sight tech refresh support. Must live in Ohio, they want someone local.

Duration: Temp to Hire

FTE salary: Starting Salary $100,000+

Duties

What Network contributes to Cardinal Health

•\tNetwork is responsible for configuring, deploying and maintaining network solutions which support the delivery of IT services worldwide. This includes network equipment and services provided by various vendors deployed in locations varying significantly in size and complexity.

•\tGathers requirements, designs and deploys network solutions to support business alignment.

•\tMaintains existing network environments through proactive monitoring and problem resolution.

•\tResponds to client requests for problem resolution and processing service requests.

•\tRequires working knowledge of network hardware, operating systems, device configuration, carrier interfaces/capabilities and various network management/troubleshooting tools.

•\tDefines solutions that balance network requirements and standards with business needs.

•\tInvestigates and resolves network incidents and recommends enhancements to improve security.

•\tParticipate in and/or lead multiple large, highly visible projects simultaneously. Exceptional capability to multiple-task.

•\tApplies comprehensive knowledge and a thorough understanding of concepts, principles and technical competencies to perform varied tasks and projects.

•\tWill engage vendors and other team members as well as those in other technology groups in the timely delivery of solutions while meeting expected milestones.

•\tWorks on projects of varying complexity and scope, in a high volume environment.

•\tCompletes work both collaboratively (standards, incident resolution) and independently, depending upon the specific circumstances.

•\tAligns with internal and external customers to understand and anticipate their needs in performing assessments and enhancements.

Accountabilities in this role

•\tUnderstand, identify, and document implementation steps and deployment of technologies.

•\tIdentify and resolve technical and other factors that delay completion of project initiatives.

•\tConfiguration, implementation and troubleshooting of technologies.

•\tResolve complex network issues, working across teams.

Qualifications

•\tMinimum 5 years of experience with network architecture and engineering - including complex network design, hands-on implementation/configuration of LAN/WAN networking devices and operational support.

•\tAppropriate network industry certifications, including CCNA/CCNP, F5 System Engineer, Aruba Wireless, Palo Alto or equivalent.

•\tIn-depth knowledge of the following:

•\tCisco routers and switches, Aruba switches, HP switches, Palo Alto Firewalls, Aruba Wireless.

•\tOSPF and BGP routing protocols

•\tKnowledge of MPLS

•\tKnowledge of installing/turning up MPLS Circuits

•\tIP address Management and DHCP using Infoblox or similar toolset

•\tThe following skills are a plus:

•\tFamiliarity with Infoblox Network Automation (NetMRI)

•\tApplication analysis using tools such as Network Instruments Gigastor

•\tGigamon Visibility Node or similar products

•\tCisco OTV for Data Center Interconnect

•\tNexus Virtual Device Context, Virtual Port Channel technologies

Work Environment:

Approximately 75% of the work is remote and will remain that way. Onsite presence is only required for tasks that cannot be completed remotely, such as shipping equipment.

We fully support remote work as long as responsibilities are met and deadlines are honored.

Travel Requirements:

The role involves managing remote sites and participating in technology refresh projects.

Travel is typically required once per month, depending on project schedules.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $60.00/hr.
