Job DescriptionJob title: Network Engineer - SONiC / Advanced Networking Day rate: £400-450 per day - Outside IR35 / Limited Company Start date: Immediate Duration: TBC - multiple projects Location: Fully remote OverviewWe are looking for an experienced Network Engineer to provide specialist network engineering. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with SONiC (Software for Open Networking in the Cloud), advanced networking technologies and BGP routing. Experience with Celestica SONiC is highly desirable; however, candidates with experience of other enterprise or community SONiC distributions will also be considered.Key Responsibilities\n

  • Configure and support SONiC based networking environments

    • \n

  • Troubleshoot and optimise Layer 2 and Layer 3 network infrastructure

    • \n

  • Configure and support BGP routing

    • \n

  • Support Software VPN implementations

    • \n

  • Diagnose and resolve network issues in a fast-paced project environment

    • \n

Essential Skills\n

    \n
  • Hands-on experience with SONiC (Software for Open Networking in the Cloud)

    • \n

  • Strong understanding of advanced networking principles

    • \n

  • Proven experience configuring and troubleshooting BGP

    • \n

  • Experience with Software VPN technologies

    • \n

  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

    • \n

  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision

    • \n

Desirable Skills\n

  • Experience with Celestica SONiC

    • \n

  • Experience with Dell Enterprise SONiC or other enterprise/community SONiC distributions

    • \n

  • Linux networking

    • \n

  • EVPN/VXLAN

    • \n

  • FRRouting (FRR)

    • \n

  • Experience with white-box switching platforms

    • \n

  • Data centre networking experience

    • \n
