Area of responsibility
We are the joint data center of the German Pension Insurance Fund, located in Berlin and Würzburg. With a focus on software-defined networks and their automation in the data center environment, the "Network Planning and Network Operations" team provides secure and high-performance basic infrastructure for the pension insurance carriers' program systems.

Your tasks
- Implementing, operating, and further developing modern data networks in the data center
- Analyzing, developing, and implementing IT concepts
- Monitoring IT systems
- Error analysis and troubleshooting
- Coordinating, planning, and executing IT processes
- Planning, designing, and documenting IT operating procedures
- Developing, implementing, and monitoring IT security and IT quality assurance measures
- Collaborating in project or working groups and committees within the DRV Bund and across institutions (e.g., designing new processes, evaluating future topics/technologies)
- Regularly taking on on-call duties to be provided by the team
Your profile
- A university degree (bachelor's, diploma) in IT or an equivalent qualification, for example based on an IT-specific qualification (business administrator), completed vocational training in IT, or comparable practical experience in IT
- Several years of relevant professional experience in data center network operations
- Good written and spoken English skills (at least B1 level)
- Practical experience with current open-source automation tools or version management systems as well as knowledge in the areas of network planning, network automation, infrastructure-as-code, intent-based networking, programming skills (e.g., Python), and ITIL knowledge are also desirable. An independent, structured approach to work, excellent analytical skills, and a strong team spirit are advantageous.

To perform the advertised role, we require you to be willing to undertake occasional business trips, including trips lasting several days.
