Job Summary

The Network Engineer II is responsible for deploying, maintaining, and evaluating network and communication systems across a multi–data center environment. This role supports day-to-day operations by troubleshooting a wide range of network issues and ensuring stable, high-performance connectivity. The Network Engineer II leverages strong monitoring and diagnostic skills to quickly identify, analyze, and resolve problems, maximizing network reliability and performance.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and support network infrastructure in highly available corporate IT environments spanning multiple data centers and customer-facing services.
• Monitor network platforms and perform configuration management, maintenance, and reporting activities.
• Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot internal and external global network configurations.
• Conduct packet-level network traffic analysis to diagnose and resolve performance issues.
• Troubleshoot complex network problems using internal ticketing systems (e.g., Jira).
• Interpret technical drawings, documentation, and specifications to implement accurate network configurations.
• Assist in evaluating new networking technologies, products, and services for potential adoption.
• Manage network infrastructure and connectivity to Amazon Web Services (AWS) Virtual Private Clouds.
• Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience.
• Required Certification: CCNA
• Certifications: Palo Alto, Fortinet, AWS
• Minimum of two (2) years of hands-on experience installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting LAN, WAN, and wireless technologies, including but not limited to firewalls, routers, switches, wireless controllers, access points, and end-user connectivity.
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts and technologies, including:
• Switches, Routers, Firewalls, Servers, Cabling, Racks
• LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, UDP, Latency, VoIP, QoS
• EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, NHRP, ATM, PPP, MPLS
• Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows, Linux, and Cisco platforms.
• AWS experience but not required.
• Ability to work onsite five days per week.
• Ability to work overtime or extended hours as needed, including after-hours support for network emergencies and occasional weekend maintenance.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to listen, articulate technical concepts clearly, and respond professionally and promptly in all situations.
