On site project- Nov 17- Dec 25- Network Engineer - Palo Alto and Cisco

An experienced Network Engineer with Palo Alto and Cisco experience and knowledge is needed.

Project Starting November 17th Monday- Friday 9-5pm onsite

The client is looking for a Sr Network Engineer with Cisco and Palo Alto experience - they are moving their data center - the engineer will not physically move anything but they will need to configure switches, etc So someone with solid knowledge 

• Which Cisco and Palo Alto models do you use?
• Cisco switches Catalyst 9300, & 9500 series
• PA 5220, 450, 440
• How are these utilized (DMVPN, etc.)?
• VPN
• For Palo Alto, are you using Panorama, Cortex or just FW?
• Just FW
• Any specifications in regards to the network environment and technologies used?
• Multiple domains
• 63 branches, hub & spoke network
• Each branch has its own MDF
• Several IDF in the central location

On December 13 we will be moving our Data Center. We will be moving from a temp space into our newly renovated permanent space.

That night we’ll be moving the entire DC all at once. I need a Sr. Network Engineer to assist us with that process.

Dec 13 thru Dec 25 long hours on site

You will be required to perform a variety of engineering tasks, as well as identify areas of improvement to increase operation efficiency. The engineer is responsible for deploying, designing, configuring, maintaining, and fixing most of the network security implementations of Palo Alto and Cisco Networks.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the installation and operation of various mechanical systems
• Repair machine and equipment defects
• Perform routine preventative maintenance
• Develop and present schematic design proposals
• Identify technologies to improve operational
• Document design narratives & engineering analysis

​Qualifications:

• Previous experience in mechanical engineering or other related fields
• Familiarity with manufacturing designs or schematics
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
