Network Security & Infrastructure Operations Engineer

New York, NY (Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite)

Contract through December 31, 2026

We are seeking a hands-on Network Security & Infrastructure Operations Engineer to support enterprise network and security operations within a large-scale production environment. This role is focused on maintaining the stability, security, and performance of critical network infrastructure across data center and enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise firewalls including Check Point, Fortinet, and F5
• Support Cisco network infrastructure including ASR, Nexus, and Catalyst platforms
• Troubleshoot network and application connectivity issues across Layer 2–Layer 4
• Manage routing protocols including OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP
• Resolve Layer 2 issues involving VLANs and STP
• Support NAC, 802.1X, and EAP authentication environments
• Perform packet-level analysis using Wireshark and tcpdump
• Administer and maintain Infoblox DNS infrastructure
• Support data center operations, hardware lifecycle activities, and network device maintenance
• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams on incidents, changes, and escalations
• Participate in on-call and off-hours support for production environments

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in Network Operations, Network Security, or Infrastructure Support
• Hands-on experience with Check Point, Fortinet, and F5 technologies
• Strong Cisco networking experience with ASR, Nexus, and Catalyst platforms
• Deep understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and network troubleshooting
• Experience with OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, VLANs, and STP
• Experience supporting NAC, 802.1X, and EAP authentication
• Hands-on experience with Wireshark, tcpdump, and Infoblox
• Experience supporting enterprise production environments and incident-driven operations
• Ability to participate in maintenance windows and on-call support

Qualifications

• Experience with McAfee Web Gateway
• Background in financial services, banking, telecom, or large enterprise environments
• Experience supporting large-scale data center infrastructures
• Exposure to automation and scripting tools such as Python or Ansible
• Familiarity with ITIL and change management processes

Ideal Candidate

• 5–10 years of hands-on network and security operations experience
• Background in Network Operations Centers (NOC), Security Operations, Firewall Engineering, or Data Center Networking
• Strong troubleshooting skills across network, security, and infrastructure technologies
• Comfortable working in high-availability, mission-critical production environments
