OVERVIEW

You will be responsible for day-to-day network operations, firewall management, monitoring, and supporting compliance activities across Passport’s global infrastructure. This role is ideal for a hands-on, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes ownership of securing and optimizing enterprise systems.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Network Security Operations:

• Configure and maintain firewalls, VPNs, and network access controls under guidance from senior staff.

• Monitor and respond to alerts from IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and SOC.

• Perform routine security checks, patching, and vulnerability remediation.

Network Administration:

• Assist with configuration and troubleshooting of switches, routers, and wireless infrastructure.

• Manage IP addressing, VLANs, DHCP, and DNS services.

• Monitor network performance, uptime, and capacity, escalating issues when appropriate.

• Develop and maintain network documentation, topology diagrams, and disaster recovery plans.

• Maintain accurate documentation, topology diagrams, and inventory lists.

Security & Compliance:

• Support PCI DSS, SOC 2, and internal compliance initiatives.

• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and remediation efforts to maintain a secure network environment.

• Maintain compliance with regulatory standards (PCI DSS, SOC 2, GDPR where applicable) and ensure timely response to findings.

Project Management & Collaboration:

• Work with senior engineers on system upgrades, migrations, and new site deployments.

• Participate in business continuity and disaster recovery testing.

• Partner with IT leadership on business continuity and disaster recovery initiatives

• Provide technical support for both on-prem and cloud-based environments.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Required:

• 3–5 years of experience in network or systems administration

• Hands-on experience with firewall configuration (Fortinet, Palo Alto, Juniper or Cisco).

• Knowledge of VPNs, VLANs, routing/switching, and TCP/IP fundamentals.

• Experience supporting Microsoft 365 and Azure cloud environments.

• Familiarity with compliance frameworks (PCI DSS, SOC 2).

• Expertise with routing/switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), VPN technologies, VLANs, and high-availability configurations.

• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

• Certifications such as CCNP/CCIE, CISSP, CISM, or equivalent.

CERTIFICATES AND/OR LICENSES REQUIREMENTS

• Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate, or CompTIA Server+.

• Industry recognized certifications in networking and security

• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 administration, including Exchange Online, Teams, and OneDrive.

• Experience in a zero-trust or highly secure environment.

• Knowledge of networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Team meetings, discussions, and presentations may require physical presence.

• May require occasional travel to data centers or office locations
