Network Senior Engineer / Team Lead — IT DOSS (FLETC)
Worksite: FLETC HQ (Glynco, GA); travel to TDYs (Artesia, NM; Charleston, SC; Cheltenham, MD) as needed
Schedule: Mon-Fri, roughly 7:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. (after-hours by approval)
Suitability: Public Trust / FLETC onboarding compliance
Pay Rate (Unburdened): $81.00 - $86.74/hour
Role Summary
Lead enterprise network engineering and operations for FLETC's multi-site environment. Prioritize incidents and projects, design/implement network solutions, coordinate with Client OneNet and data centers, and guide change control through ICCB.
Core Responsibilities

Lead day-to-day network engineering/operations; triage and prioritize outages, projects, and tasks.

Design and implement operational network systems and prototypes aligned to Government requirements.

Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair network infrastructure; drive root-cause analysis and remediation.

Collaborate with Network & System Engineers, vendors, and stakeholders to solve trending issues.

Plan and support cloud engineering and migration strategies.

Coordinate with Client OneNet and Client Data Centers to resolve cross-enterprise technical issues.

Review and make technical recommendations on Infrastructure Change Control Board (ICCB) packets; ensure correct implementation during rollouts.

Produce clear technical documentation and rollout plans.
Minimum Qualifications (Government-defined)

Experience: At least 5 years of detailed technical experience in network engineering (or related field) within the last 7 years.

Skills: Ability to design and implement operational network systems; deep knowledge of network principles, protocols, and design; demonstrated strength in troubleshooting and maintaining network infrastructure; cloud engineering/migration experience; strong cross-team collaboration; ability to coordinate with OneNet and data-center engineering; ability to review ICCB packets and ensure correct rollout execution.

Certifications: No mandatory certifications are specified by the Government for this role. (Industry certifications such as CCNP/JNCIP are welcome but not required.)
