Job Type: Full Time

Base Pay: Current DCS Tech wage for NOC location plus 10% wage premium $1.00 differential for all hours worked between 11:00 pm – 7:30 am

Bonus: Discretionary

Reports to: Operations Manager

About the Role

· Responsible for proactively monitoring and troubleshooting support the production environment with key awareness and involvement on hardware/software changes. Emphasis will be on detecting Operations/Network production problems and initiating documented troubleshooting and contact/escalation procedures efficiently.

· Generate cases/tickets, monitor and support of environment and infrastructure, specialized on-demand processing support, active participation in turnover and daily meetings.

· Monitoring data center dashboards (Foreman, SCADAs, temperature, security, Auvik, Hydro-Equipment, etc.) for key indicators of a critical failure or other such concern warranting a call out.

· Log minor incidents were further investigation or repair is warranted and communicate those needs to the appropriate parties for day shifts to address in each location.

· Exercise good judgment and critical thinking skills when determining appropriate contact for a given situation.

· Utilize an emergency messaging contact tree such as call, text, Teams, etc. In notifying critical staff during emergencies.

· Call out staff as needed to address critical failures which cannot wait until the morning shift.

Competencies

· Experience with alerts, troubleshooting and resolving problems, inclusive of making notifications and managing escalations, through defined procedures until problem resolution.

· Experience in bridge/conference calls to facilitate problem resolution.

· Experience with management/monitoring software to determine status and condition of systems/hardware related to applications operating in a cryptocurrency production environment.

· Familiarity with monitoring and supporting network infrastructure with management/monitoring software and alarm systems.

· Experience troubleshooting network problems and recommending corrective procedures, engaging in documented support processes, or executing required escalations.

· Ability to use phone, email, and maintain information flow with Management and delivery teams support personnel.

· Ability to maintain daily logs and generate reports.

· Ability to analyze problems, documenting conditions, and recommending solutions.

· Ability to respond to requests as defined by management, completing assignments in a timely manner with an acceptable level of quality.

· Ability to maintain a positive attitude towards participation in shift turnovers for continuity of problem resolution or knowledge exchange.

· Ability to provide support system demonstrations for potential customers.

· A constructive desire to maintain a professional environment.

Required Education and Experience

· High school diploma or equivalent

· 9 months of experience working in a data center

Work Environment and Physical Demands

● Typical office environment includes extended periods of sitting, use of a computer monitor, and typing.

● Extensive verbal and non-verbal communication in quiet and noisy environments.
