About This Role:

We are seeking a versatile Mechanical Assembler with additional responsibilities in shipping, receiving, and warehouse areas. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical assembly skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage various tasks related to shipping, receiving, and warehouse management and be able to train other employees, as directed.

Key Responsibilities:

Mechanical Assembly

  • Assemble mechanical components and products according to detailed instructions, blueprints, or technical drawings.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and machinery to complete assembly tasks.
  • Perform quality checks to ensure assembled products meet specifications and standards.
  • Identify and troubleshoot assembly issues, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety regulations and PPE requirements.

Shipping

  • Work from pick sheets, files, and verbal, and written instructions
  • Prepare products for shipment, including packaging, labeling, and documentation.
  • Provide weights and dimensions required for shipment coordination
  • Ensure that all outgoing shipments are accurate and meet customer requirements.

Receiving

  • Receive incoming shipments, inspect goods for damage or discrepancies, and update inventory records.
  • Unload and organize incoming materials and products.
  • Communicate any issues with received goods to buyer/planner management.
  • Assist with the documentations and processing of returns or exchanges.

Warehouse Operations

  • Manage inventory by tracking stock levels, conducting regular audits, and updating records.
  • Organize and maintain warehouse space for efficient storage and retrieval of products.
  • Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently for delivery.
  • Operate forklifts, PIV’s, or other warehouse equipment as needed.
  • Ensure warehouse safety protocols are followed and maintained.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is a plus.
  • Proven experience in mechanical assembly and/or warehouse operations.
  • Familiarity with shipping and receiving procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and assembly instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including experience with inventory management systems.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Qualifications:

  • Certification in forklift, PIV, and hoist operation, but will provide training.
  • Experience with ERP or inventory management software.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or logistics environment.
