Leapros Skilled Trades is actively hiring OSP (Outside Plant) Data Center Technicians in Denton, TX. As a trusted partner in the construction industry, we connect top talent with top companies across the United States.

Job Type: Contract to Hire
Pay: $23 to $30 Per Hour BOE

Responsibilities:

• Assist with various aspects of structured cabling installation, testing, and fiber splicing support.
• Support OSP-focused work as well as in-building data center installations.
• Help with fiber terminations, testing, labeling, bonding, and telecommunication room build-outs.
• Work alongside experienced splicing techs on high fiber-count cables.

Qualifications:

• 1+ year experience in structured cabling, OSP, or related construction.
• Experience with fiber splicing highly .
• Familiarity with high fiber-count environments (e.g., Microsoft data center projects) is a plus.
• Comfortable moving between data center sites across the Dallas / Fort Worth
• Metroplex when needed.
• OSHA 10 required.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be self-motivated, detail oriented, positive in approach, professional and help create, develop and implement project process improvement(s).
• Must promote the company culture and mission to all employees, vendors, clients and business partners.
• 2+ years working in data centers, operations or related technical field.
• General knowledge of server/network equipment and software support configurations.
• Basic understanding of AC/DC power principles, data center power distribution and data center best practices.
• Strong aptitude for independent working environment and high productivity rate.
• Must be able to act as the company liaison for interface with customer representative(s).
• Must possess proven problem-solving skills, critical thinking skills and the ability to effectively read, write and give oral presentation(s).
• Must be able to work at heights, off of a ladder and in confined spaces, lift up to 50 pounds and move up to 75 pounds.
• Must be able to see and distinguish different colors, read small print and hear and recognize audible signals such as dial tones.
• Excellent communication and customer relationship skills.

Pay Transparency  
The anticipated salary range for this position is $23 to $30 Per Hour, based on relevant factors such as experience, skills, education, internal equity, and geographic location. Final compensation will be determined during the interview process by the hiring authority.
