Which brings us toyou.We'relooking for aPart-TimeFinance Specialist to be a strategic part of our finance engine. As a Finance Specialist,you'llexecute the critical foundation of our financial healthkeeping the books,supporting budgets,analyzing performance,and ensuring compliance that fuels our mission.You'llwork directly with our COObuildand hone our robust financial processes.

Performance Expectations

Within the first four weeks:

• Master the fundamentals: Understand our financial ecosystem, andget hands onwith billing,payroll, accountsreceivable, accounts payable, and bank reconciliation. Refinereporting thatprovidesactionable insights.

• Build your toolkit: Learn our financial processes and master our digital infrastructure includingSalesforce CRM, accounting software (QuickBooks), and the Office 365 suite.

• Get customer friendly:Make phone calls with our customers to answer billing questions and to arrange fortimelypayments.

• Get reporting oriented:Work withour fractional CFOto understand and produce our monthly reportingbook.

Within the first90 days:

• Perfectthe handoff: Collaborate seamlessly with the sales team toprovidefinancial insights that support strategic decision-making and ensureaccuratebudgeting.

• Understand the ecosystem:Work withour energycontracting customers and material partners to provide financial supportand analysis for in-system ordering.

• Contribute strategic insights: Share financial intelligence with management to suggest relevant budget adjustments and cash flow improvements based on analysis and industry trends.

• Own the reporting lifecycle: Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports, managing the accuracy and compliance of financial data.

• Hit your stride on metrics: Consistently conduct financial analysis toidentifytrends, risks, and opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

• Demonstrate impact: Show measurable contribution toaccuratecash flow management and robust financial reporting metrics.

Year One and Beyond:

• Evolve yourexpertise: Take on increasingly complex financial analysis and modeling activities.

• Drive innovation:Identifyprocessimprovementsandexplorenew technologies(including Artificial Intelligence applications) thatimprove accuracy,productivityand throughput,and contribute strategic insights based on financial data and market feedback.

What It Takes to Succeed

Experience: 1-3 years as a Finance Assistant, Bookkeeper, or similar role withdemonstratedsuccess in supporting a finance team.
Technicalproficiency: Experience with Salesforce (or similar CRM) and core accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks). Strongproficiencyin Microsoft Excel is mandatory.
Industry advantage: Experience in energy efficiency, lighting, construction, or related B2B technology sectors is highly valued, but notrequired.
Core competencies: Outstanding written and verbalcommunication skills, natural curiosity, a systematic approach to process optimization,comfort in speaking directly with clients to answer questions andfacilitateinvoice payment,and strongattention to detailfor ensuring data accuracy.
