Bernardo Consulting Group specializes in designing and managing physical security projects with a global infrastructure provider. We take on some of the most challenging design projects, which involve numerous variables, and seek talented individuals eager to contribute. Your work will involve creating detailed design documentation in accordance with established standards. You will play a crucial role in developing the design documents for Video Surveillance, Access Control, Intrusion Detection, Lighting, Cable Tray, and Cable Pathways for Ethernet and fiber systems. Your expertise will be key to creating, maintaining, and sharing Security and Telecom Engineering drawing sets used in Data Centers around the world. Your contributions will foster innovation and excellence in our field.

Key job responsibilities

Your daily responsibilities will include designing the physical security systems for data centers and using Revit to create and maintain BIM models. You must be able to work independently and as part of a team to complete assigned tasks, including collaborating with internal groups, clients, consultants, manufacturers, vendors, and contractors. Your duties will include:

Key Requirements:
Preparing and developing detailed Revit models of Security building systems.
Developing & publishing construction documentation for Security building systems designs in a fast-paced environment to meet scheduled deliverables.
Updating and modifying existing models and construction documents as required using Revit.
Participate in design coordination meetings for clash detection and resolution with other trades.
Work on concurrent projects in multiple geographical locations.
Assist the project team with information exchange processes between internal and external customers.
Provide coordination support for information requests during construction phases.
Recording and reporting on key metrics to management.
Be self-motivated and work within the production group and other teams.
Be positive and always offer creative, out-of-the-box solutions.

A Day in the Life

As a drafter, you will work with different teams to improve data center security designs. Your responsibilities include creating detailed models and drawings, as well as informing managers and leaders about any updates to the building design. You will participate in design discussions, review colleagues' feedback, and ensure our client's data center solutions meet the highest efficiency and quality standards.
