About the Role

The Planning and Scheduling Manager is responsible for scheduling, planning, and coordinating the work activities and resources necessary for manufacturing and shipping products in accordance with cost, quality, and quantity specifications; and ensuring on time and in full deliveries to our customers.

What You’ll Do

  • Responsible for supervising and ensuring execution of Production Planning, Material scheduling, Shipping and Receiving activities
  • Responsible for the monitoring of Production Schedules, Raw Material, WIP, Production Work Order Variances and Finished Goods for financial tracking purposes and in support of company goals.
  • Exercise high degree of discretion and judgment to establish priorities and delegate tasks to lower-level support personnel.
  • Negotiate, approve, and prioritize production schedules based on demand requirements, new product introduction, equipment capacity and materials supply with Manufacturing Management Team.
  • Develop and drive Controls and team KPIs which to measure and monitor service levels and lead to improved performance of Production Logistics activities
  • Manage KPIs including actions with clear deadlines when team is not meeting targets on a daily, weekly, monthly, or quarterly basis depending on the KPI
  • Drive the development activity of the Production Planning, Material Scheduling, Shipping and Receiving teams to support professional growth and career succession.
  • Use outstanding leadership abilities to select, develop, inspire and evaluate teams and individuals to achieve and maintain world class performance.
  • Partner with human resources to identify knowledge gaps and create training material and roadmaps to increase employee skillset
  • Conduct regular one on one meetings and performance reviews with direct employees to provide coaching and feedback
  • Identify personnel resource requirements and makes staffing recommendations to senior management
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Additional Expectations

  • Remain compliant with the Code of Conduct and Policies which includes the Kingspan Group Compliance Policy.
  • Ensure that all duties related to product compliance are adhered to in accordance with the Product Compliance Policy, Laws, Regulations, and market demands.
  • Responsible for all tasks to achieve compliance goals and demands of the Compliance Management System.
  • Must raise concerns related to the Compliance Management System to their supervisor, manager, or any member of the Leadership Team, or through the confidential whistle blower service.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Production Management or related business or technical degree or demonstrated equivalent experience
  • Minimum of (10) years of professional experience with at least (2) years in a leadership role
  • APICS certification and/or Six Sigma Certification a plus
  • Firm grasp of supply chain, inventory, distribution, business, and management principles
  • Strong team player
  • Ability to manage, coach, and provide training for direct reports
  • Exceptional organizational and analytical skills
  • Working knowledge of logistics and inventory software
