Job Description
As a Project Planner, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate development, monitoring, and delivery of project schedules, while providing key insights and controls to keep high-value programmes on track. Your work will be central to coordinating international projects, ensuring alignment across multiple stakeholders, and driving operational excellence.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building, updating, and maintaining baseline and detailed project schedules
- Analysing schedules to identify risks, delays, and mitigation strategies
- Leveraging Primavera P6 to forecast timelines, monitor performance, and manage workforce deployment
- Partnering with project managers, site supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure smooth execution
- Implementing project control processes to protect programme integrity
- Producing progress reports, variance analyses, and recovery plans for senior stakeholders
- Leading full project lifecycle planning, including resource allocation, cost estimation, and scheduling for global assignments
- Supporting business development by preparing proposals for new international projects
- Independently managing work packages related to planning, work preparation, materials management, scheduling, and installation coordination
To succeed in this role, you will bring a mix of technical expertise, structured thinking, and collaborative drive.
- Technical education in mechanical engineering, plant engineering, or a related discipline
- Proven experience in schedule analysis, project controls, and project management
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
- Fluency in English and German (spoken and written)
- Strong analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities
- Skilled communicator and effective team player
- Precise, reliable, and detail-oriented working style
- Prior exposure to large-scale projects within construction, data centres, pharma plants, or power plants
