Plumber Journeyman / Plumber Med-Gas

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Plumber or Medical Gas Plumber to support large-scale commercial and industrial construction projects. In this role, you will install plumbing and/or medical gas systems in accordance with project specifications, trade standards, and applicable codes. Responsibilities

• Perform commercial plumbing installation from underground and rough-ins through stack out and trim out on large-scale commercial and industrial projects including healthcare, government, education, manufacturing, data centers, and similar facilities.
• Read, interpret, and work from blueprints and specifications to determine layout, materials, and installation requirements.
• Measure, mark, and lay out materials using lasers, rulers, calculators, squares, and transit lasers.
• Solder and braze piping using oxygen and acetylene; install CPVC, PVC, cast iron, poly pipe, and PEX systems using appropriate glue, primer, and fittings.
• Install pipe hanger assemblies utilizing unistrut, clevis hangers, nuts, washers, and related hardware.
• Fabricate and install plumbing systems efficiently while maintaining quality and productivity standards.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Install systems in compliance with specifications, trade standards, and local/state building codes.
• Assist with mentoring or leading apprentices and helpers as assigned.
• Perform additional duties or special projects as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years of commercial plumbing experience.
• Current and valid Texas plumbing license (Journeyman, Apprentice, Master, and/or Medical Gas).
• Experience leading or coaching an apprentice and/or helper.
• Ability to read blueprints and construction documents.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and basic math and English skills.
• Must pass background screening, drug screening, and physical ability testing.

Qualifications

• OSHA 10 or other relevant safety certification.
• Medical Gas Certification endorsement (for Med-Gas applicants) or ability to obtain.
