Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Microsoft Power Platform Developer to join our Digital Innovations team.

This role is critical to accelerating our digital transformation initiatives, with an immediate focus in supporting the development of a Power Apps-based pricing and resourcing tool, a Power Pages portal for internal and external users to access embedded Power BI reports and a Power Apps-based project auditing tool.

You will work closely with a cross-functional team—including a Data Engineer, Business Analyst, and Data and AI/ML Engineer—under the leadership of the Head of AI and Digital Innovation. Beyond hands-on development, you’ll play a key role in guiding and supporting the team in adopting best practices and maximising the potential of the Power Platform.

As part of the Digital Innovations team, you’ll be joining a forward-thinking department with a clear mandate to drive digital initiatives across the business. This includes our strategic objective to establish Sygna as a leader in AI-powered commissioning and project management solutions—enhancing operational efficiency, improving decision-making and client service, validating and scaling AI solutions, and driving long-term business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Solution Design and Development:

  • Designing and developing custom business applications using Power Apps, including customer facing (and project enabling) tools.
  • Creating and automating workflows using Power Automate.
  • Building integrations between Power Platform components and other systems (SharePoint, Dynamics 365, Azure, etc.).
  • Developing custom connectors for Power Platform to interact with external services.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to implement Power Platform solutions that enhance automation, streamline workflows, and prepare the business for AI integration.

Stakeholder Collaboration and Analysis:

  • Collaborating with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into functional and user-friendly applications.
  • Conducting research and analysis to identify optimal solutions for business needs.
  • Providing technical expertise and guidance to stakeholders on Power Platform solutions.

Testing, Deployment, and Support:

  • Testing and troubleshooting Power Platform solutions to ensure functionality and performance to ensure high-quality user experiences.
  • Developing a framework for building solutions and deploying to production environments and providing ongoing support and maintenance.
  • Monitoring and optimising application performance and user experience.
  • Developing and maintaining technical documentation and providing ongoing solution support.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues such as the below and applying the necessary prioritisation for closeout
  • Report / dashboard refreshing / sync issues
  • Investigate, highlight and fix compromised formula and/or code
  • Investigate, highlight and fix compromised automation in platforms such as Monday.com or Power Automate
  • Re-linking tools such as Engineering Tracker to Programme or third-party platforms/data dumps such as BIM360 or Cx Alloy
  • Managing permissions and access to Power platform tools (i.e. Power BI reports)

Qualifications & Experience

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Systems, Software
  • Engineering or Data Science) is desirable but not essential. We are especially interested in candidates with proven, hands-on experience developing and delivering Power Platform solutions in real-world business environments (1 to 3 years).
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Dynamics 365, and Azure integration.
  • Experience with custom connectors, APIs, and extending Power Platform with code.
  • Familiarity with governance, security, and compliance best practices in Power Platform development.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into scalable, user-friendly applications.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., PL-100, PL-400) are desirable.
