Amazon MGM Studios is seeking an experienced Theatrical PR Manager to lead our theatrical film slate in Australia and New Zealand.
This role will develop and execute comprehensive publicity strategies for all theatrical releases across ANZ, while also crafting corporate storytelling around Amazon MGM Studios' theatrical expansion across the region. You will serve as the senior communications advisor for the ANZ market, working closely with our US and international teams while leading local agency relationships and managing all aspects of theatrical PR campaigns.
The ideal candidate will bring extensive knowledge of the Australian and New Zealand entertainment and media landscape, established relationships with high-profile media and industry stakeholders, and a proven track record of delivering successful theatrical publicity campaigns that drive cultural conversation and box office results.

Key job responsibilities
• Develop and lead strategic publicity campaigns for all theatrical releases in Australia and New Zealand
• Create and execute corporate communications strategy around Amazon MGM Studios' theatrical business expansion in ANZ
• Lead and manage local agency partners and external vendors to deliver best-in-class campaigns
• Orchestrate press junkets, talent appearances, and premiere events across Australia and New Zealand
• Build and maintain relationships with key media contacts, critics groups, cultural influencers, entertainment journalists, talent representatives, and industry stakeholders
• Provide strategic counsel to US-based leadership and cross-functional partners on cultural nuances and market-specific opportunities across both territories
• Develop messaging and provide issues management support for talent and filmmakers
• Monitor and report on campaign effectiveness, media coverage, and marketplace dynamics across ANZ
• Manage theatrical publicity budgets across both territories with a focus on efficiency and ROI
