Principal Electrical Engineer / Manager – Data Centres\nLondon, UK | Permanent | Hybrid Working (3 days office / 2 days home) | Highly Competitive Package\nWe are seeking an experienced Principal Electrical Engineer / Manager to join a leading consultancy delivering major Data Centre projects across London and Europe. This is a senior role with the opportunity to lead complex mission-critical facilities and mentor a talented engineering team.\n\nWhat you’ll be doing:\n\nLeading electrical design and delivery for large-scale data centre projects\nManaging and mentoring teams of 3–10 engineers (local and international)\nOverseeing projects from concept through to construction and commissioning\nDriving quality and best practice in mission-critical electrical systems\nEngaging directly with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams\nProviding technical expertise in LV/HV systems, UPS, generators, and resilience strategiesWhat we’re looking for:\n\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent vocational training with experience)\n6–15 years’ experience in building services electrical engineering\nProven mission-critical design experience (data centres, clean tech, telecoms)\nChartered Engineer status (or equivalent professional registration)\nStrong technical expertise in HV/MV and LV systems, UPS, AC/DC, and switchgear\nProficiency with tools such as Revit, Autocad, Amtech, Dialux, SKM, ETAP, or Easypower\nStrong communication skills with ability to build relationships at all levels\nOrganised, proactive, and capable of managing deadlines, budgets, and risk\nPassion for mentoring and supporting team growth\nWhat’s in it for you:\n\nCompetitive salary + discretionary bonus (up to 10%)\nHybrid working (3 days London office / 2 days remote)\n25 days annual leave + UK bank holidays (option to purchase 5 extra days)\nPension (6% employer contribution)\n80 - 100k (negotiable based on DC design experience)\nLife insurance & long-term sickness coverage\nPerkbox membership (health, fitness & entertainment offers)\nCycle to Work scheme\nCompany social events & referral scheme\nEmployee Assistance Programme (EAP)\nGoodHabitz access (Learning & Development platform)\nCollaborative, supportive environment with international networking opportunities\nExposure to diverse and technically challenging projects\nIf you’re an ambitious Principal Electrical Engineer / Manager with extensive Data Centre experience, we’d love to hear from you.\n\nV7 Recruitment is an equal opportunities employer and does not discriminate on the grounds of , , , reassignment, marriage or civil partnership, or maternity, , or belief, , or .
