The business delivers high-quality, sustainable building services solutions across a wide range of sectors and works on local, , and international projects.\n\nThis is a senior, client-facing role offering responsibility for technical leadership, project delivery, and the development of engineers within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.\n\nThe Role\n\nAs a Principal Electrical Engineer, you will lead the technical delivery of electrical building services design across complex, multidisciplinary projects. You will play a key role in shaping project strategy, managing stakeholder relationships, and ensuring high standards of quality, compliance, and commercial performance.\n\nKey responsibilities include:\n\nLeading the day-to-day technical delivery of electrical building services design\nDeveloping strategic and concept-stage electrical solutions aligned with client briefs and regulatory requirements\nActing as a key client interface and attending project and design team meetings\nTranslating client and stakeholder requirements into clear technical direction for project teams\nCoordinating electrical services within multidisciplinary project teams\nSupporting resource planning, monitoring, and programme delivery\nEnsuring compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and best practice\nIdentifying and managing technical and commercial risks\nMentoring and supporting junior engineers, graduates, and apprentices\nWork on Projects typically spanning; Residential, Commercial Offices, Healthcare, Science & Research, Mission-Critical & Data Centres \n\nAbout You\n\nYou will be an experienced electrical building services engineer with strong consultancy experience and the confidence to lead technically and professionally.\n\nEssential experience and skills:\n\nProven experience as an Electrical Engineer within a building services or consultancy environment\nStrong track record delivering complex, design-led projects\nExperience working directly with clients, architects, contractors, and design teams\nAdvanced understanding of modern electrical design and delivery processes\nProficiency in BIM-enabled workflows and tools such as Revit\nExperience with electrical design and lighting software including Electrical OM, Dialux and/or Relux\nStrong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skillsDesirable attributes:\n\nExperience working across multidisciplinary consultancy environments\nExperience mentoring and developing junior engineers and early-career professionals\nA proactive, inclusive, and collaborative leadership styleWhat's on Offer\n\nA senior role within a respected, multidisciplinary engineering consultancy\nExposure to technically complex and high-profile projects\nClear progression opportunities and structured professional development\nSupportive, flexible, and people-focused working culture\nCompetitive salary and comprehensive benefits package \n\nCalibre Search promote equality in the workplace and we welcome applications from all suitably skilled or qualified candidates regardless of their , , , /beliefs, or .
