Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Procurement Manager to lead and manage the full procurement lifecycle for both direct and indirect materials at our South Carolina manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving strategic sourcing initiatives, developing a robust supplier base, optimizing costs, negotiating contracts, and ensuring overall supply chain resilience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct Material Procurement: Oversee end-to-end procurement activities for direct materials, including raw materials, production components, packaging, and MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) supplies, ensuring alignment with production schedules and quality standards.
  • Indirect Material Procurement: Manage procurement for indirect categories such as facility services, equipment, logistics, office supplies, capital goods (CapEx), and other operational expenditures.
  • Strategic Sourcing & Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive sourcing strategies. Lead supplier identification, evaluation, qualification, negotiation, and ongoing performance management.
  • Negotiation & Cost Management: Lead negotiations for pricing, terms, and conditions in contracts and agreements to achieve targeted cost savings and enhance supply chain efficiency.
  • Market Intelligence & Risk Mitigation: Monitor market trends, commodity price fluctuations, lead times, and potential supply chain disruptions. Proactively develop and implement risk mitigation plans.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with internal stakeholders, including Production, Material Planning, Quality, Engineering, and Finance, to align procurement activities with broader business objectives.
  • Process Optimization & Compliance: Maintain accurate procurement records, conduct regular spend analysis, and generate reports to drive process improvements. Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Others: Other temporary tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional procurement experience within a manufacturing environment, with demonstrated expertise in handling both direct and indirect material categories. Procurement experience in either mechanical equipment or electrical appliances is required.
  • Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, contract law and negotiation, and cost-reduction methodologies.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing supply chain dynamics, ERP systems (SAP ), and procurement software/tools.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently, effectively manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-driven, willing to take challenges, work under pressure, working with passion and sense of responsibility.
  • Highly committed to professional ethics, pragmatic in work, adheres to the principle of integrity, and strives to build long-term, reliable professional credibility
  • Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.

Qualifications:

  • Professional certification such as CPSM, CIPS, or equivalent.
  • Ability to speak and communicate fluently in Mandarin is a plus.
