Job Title: Procurement Specialist

About the Company:
Our client is a contractor in Vineland, NJ, known for delivering high-quality projects with precision and efficiency. They are seeking a detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to join their team and help streamline material and equipment purchasing for local construction projects.

Position Overview:
The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, tools, and services to support electrical contracting projects. The ideal candidate will have strong vendor management skills, knowledge of construction/electrical materials, and the ability to keep projects on schedule and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

• Source and purchase materials, equipment, and subcontractor services for multiple projects
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with vendors and suppliers
• Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure reliability and quality
• Track orders, deliveries, and inventory to meet project timelines
• Review purchase orders for accuracy and compliance with project specifications
• Collaborate with project managers and field teams to forecast needs and resolve supply chain challenges
• Maintain organized procurement records and reports

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain (construction or electrical industry )
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word); experience with project management or ERP systems a plus
• High attention to detail and organizational skills
