About this Opportunity:
This position plays a critical role by ensuring a company's products meet all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies through tasks like reviewing products, performing risk assessments, and staying updated on legal changes. Responsibilities include collaborating with other departments like R&D, marketing, and operations, and maintenance of online reporting to support our customer documentation requests. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Understanding of international trade compliance requirements and MRP system knowledge.
Responsibilities:
- Regulatory interpretation: Interpret and apply federal, state, and local laws and regulations to products
- Product review: Review new and existing products for safety, quality, and regulatory compliance throughout their lifecycle, from raw materials to end-of-life.
- Documentation and reporting: Maintain and update product documentation, such as labels and packaging, and prepare compliance reports for management and regulatory bodies
- Risk assessment: Conduct quality risk assessments to identify and mitigate compliance risks
- Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with teams like R&D, marketing, operations, and legal to ensure compliance is integrated into all stages of product development and commercialization
- Supplier management: Collaborate with suppliers to ensure their products and materials also meet compliance requirements
- Incident management: Evolve protocols for handling issues like product recalls
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Engineering, or Business Administration.
- 2-5 years’ product compliance experience in regulated environment.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret complex regulations.
- Knowledge of specific regulations relevant to the industry is crucial.
