ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a Product Test Technician to join our Automotive Electronic Products (AEP) team as part of CompalUSA, work based in Goleta California. A hybrid work model combining the flexibility of remote work at home with the benefits of on-site collaboration in the Goleta, CA development facility will be employed. The Product Test Technician will be responsible for Camera testing, test equipment assembly and electro-mechanical troubleshooting related tasks as part of our multi-disciplined development team.
Major responsibilities:
Product testing of infrared camera assemblies during development. Contribute to assembly and integration of camera test equipment and prototype assemblies. Electrical and mechanical assembly of prototype kits and test stations. Troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues during development.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 10+ years experience as a technician with demonstrated product testing, mechanical equipment assembly and troubleshooting experience.
- Basic computer skills, soldering and desoldering capability a plus.
- Contribute to creation of process documentation.
