Production Manager – Media Manufacturing

The Production Manager – Media Manufacturing is responsible for supporting and coordinating all operations, which occur in the new manufacturing area of the facility. This position oversees engineers, leads, and supervisors to effectively and efficiently perform the functions of their jobs in order to successfully produce orders.

Objective of this role:

  • Lead projects from requirements definition through deployment, identifying schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and implementation plans, including risk mitigation
  • Creating long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines
  • Delegating tasks on the project to employees best positioned to complete them
  • Making effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress with the project
  • Communicating with executives to keep the project aligned with their goals
  • Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure that projects adhere to scope, schedule, and budget
  • Analyze project status and, when necessary, revise the scope, schedule, or budget to ensure that project requirements can be met
  • Establish and maintain relationships with relevant client stakeholders, providing day-to-day contact on project status and changes
  • Coordinate with international teams on technical project design, development and greenfield implementation.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain processes for managing scope during the project lifecycle, setting quality and performance standards, and assessing risks
  • Structure and manage multitrack projects from organization redesign to acquisition integration.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with third-party resources, including vendors.
  • Assign and monitor resources to ensure project efficiency and maximize deliverables
  • Report project outcomes and/or risks to the proper management channels and escalate issues, as necessary, according to project work plan
  • Managing resistance to change, ensuring smooth communication flow, and facilitating stakeholder buy-in
  • Managing project budgets, distributing resources effectively, and adjusting as needed to stay on track

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • 8 or more years of managing operations in Chemical (Polymer, Additives), Textiles, Paper or Inject Molding experience
  • Ability to travel to Germany for prolonged periods of time (up to 2 – 3 weeks) regularly for the first 6 months to year
  • Proven success working with all levels of management
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Strong project management skills, including planning, execution, and monitoring.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders.
  • Experience leading and managing cross-functional teams.
  • Solid understanding of change management principles and practices.
  • Experience with organizational redesign or similar large-scale transformation initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Familiarity with CAD design software is a plus.
