Productivity Team Lead and Senior Network Engineer

This position is a part of the One-Euronet Infrastructure Engineering organization, and is a full-time, permanent, hybrid on-site / remote position. The Lead Network Engineer will be responsible for the design, implementation, and support of enterprise network infrastructure across multiple locations. This role requires deep technical expertise in routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, and cloud networking, as well as leadership in managing network projects and mentoring junior engineers.

Duties and responsibilities

· Architect and maintain high-availability network infrastructure (LAN/WAN/WLAN).

· Lead network design for new office deployments and store upgrades.

· Manage firewall policies, VPN configurations, and network segmentation.

· Collaborate with security and systems teams to ensure compliance and performance.

· Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues proactively.

· Document network architecture, configurations, and procedures.

· Provide Tier 3 support and lead incident response for network-related issues.

· Evaluate and implement new networking technologies and tools.

· Providing leadership and support to fellow network team members

· As needed support in data center cabling and network systems installations

Requirements

· Network Switching / Routing / Firewall / VPN

o OSI Model and experience with all layers

o Routing and switching configurations and deployments

o Firewall configuration (Cisco, F5, Fortigate, or equivalent technologies)

o VPN configurations (IPSEC, Site-to-Site, DMVPN)

o Out of band network appliance support (i.e. opengear)

o LAN / WAN topologies – configurations

o Experience with SD-WAN, BGP, OSPF, and MPLS.

o WIFI – configurations, management and installations

o SIP / call manager experience

o Network monitoring systems (i.e. Solarwinds, ICINGA, Zabbix)

o Network troubleshooting via packet captures, trace tools

· Computing and Virtual systems

o Essential experience and knowledge of Windows Server OS (Current OS – 2019 / 2022)

o Essential experience and knowledge of Linux Server OS (Current OS – i.e. Redhat, CentOS, Alma)

o Experience with VMWare and support of network functions

· Hardware

o Experience in network switch / router / firewall installations

o Experience in cable installations / patch panels in a data center environment (ethernet, fiber)

o Experience with Fortinet and Cisco network infrastructure, Always-On VPN, and Intune integration.

o Experience supporting hybrid cloud environments.

o Experience in Wifi system configuration and optimization

o Familiarity with VoIP and SIP trunking.

Minimum Education and Job Experience Requirements -- Certifications

· Four year degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Information Technology or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

· 3-5 years of experience network switching, routing, firewall and VPN management and configuration job duties

· Highly certifications -- Cisco CCNP, CCNA, or other technology equivalent certification

· 3-5 years of experience in relevant network administration and leadership – mentoring role
