Program Manager Data Center Infrastructure, Project & Contract Management

Compensation: $150,000+ Bonus

Location: Charleston, SC

Company Description: Our client is an industrial-scale data center construction and operations company. They allocate data center opportunities between bitcoin mining and other high performance computing services, such as AI. They continue to develop their pipeline of power capacity at high-quality data center sites, either for bitcoin mining or HPC.

Position Summary

The Program Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing programs and projects that support data center infrastructure operations. This role focuses on project and program management, contract management, RFP execution, budget planning, financial oversight, and compliance. The Program Manager may directly manage projects or oversee projects as needed to support cross-functional teams, ensuring initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

Program & Project Management

  • Lead and manage multiple concurrent infrastructure programs and projects.
  • Oversee projects executed by cross-functional teams, providing governance, guidance, and escalation support as needed.
  • Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success metrics.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocations.
  • Track and report on project progress, risks, and issues.
  • Ensure alignment between project execution and organizational priorities.

Contract Management, RFPs & QBRs

  • Support the full contract lifecycle including SOW development, renewals, amendments, and change management.
  • Lead and coordinate Request for Proposal (RFP) processes in partnership with Procurement, Legal, Engineering, and Finance.
  • Plan and facilitate Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) to review contractual performance, financial outcomes, and upcoming needs.
  • Track contractual milestones, deliverables, and expiration timelines.

Budget Planning, Financial Management & Variance Reporting

  • Lead or support annual and multi-year budget planning for infrastructure programs and projects.
  • Build and maintain detailed budgets, forecasts, and cost tracking models.
  • Monitor actual spend against budget and forecast.
  • Prepare and present variance reports with root-cause analysis and corrective action recommendations.
  • Partner with Finance to ensure accurate accruals, forecasting, and financial controls.

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure programs and projects comply with applicable regulatory, contractual, and internal policy requirements.
  • Support audits, assessments, and compliance reviews.
  • Maintain accurate documentation to support governance and reporting requirements.
  • Implement and adhere to standardized project and program management methodologies.

Stakeholder Communication & Reporting

  • Provide regular status updates and executive-level reporting on schedule, scope, budget, risks, and compliance.
  • Facilitate project reviews, steering committees, and cross-functional meetings.
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Information Technology, ora related field, or equivalent experience.

  • 5+ years of experience in program and project management, preferably in datacenter, infrastructure, or technology environments.
  • Demonstrated experience with contract management, RFP execution, budget planning, and variance reporting.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and governance practices.

Qualifications

Experience supporting data center or critical infrastructure environments.

  • PMP, PgMP, or similar project/program management certification.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Procurement, Legal, and Finance teams.
